WiFi connection

Women are like flowers
like the Rose of Sharon
they look tender but have claws
like bougainvillea with tentacles

Women are like ballerinas
swirling around like in
satin-lined jewelry boxes
doing the splits, even touching their toes

Women are seductive and intoxicating
skyscraper tapering heels and opaque tights
hazel eyes that sparkle, poppy lips that sizzle
their name is WiFi and all men desire a connection

Thank you Monsieur Klaus for providing an outlet for poems that pulse out of us like corrosive acid

Thou shalt not bow in Outlaw Poetry

Thou shalt not bow by Sofia Kioroglou
Posted on February 27

Universal Apostasy
You will know when you see
your husband in the gates,
sitting among the elders of the land

Devil and Antichrist
prowl around like a roaring lion
Ready to devour
Open your eyes

The Mystery of Iniquity
will meet you at the city gates
seeking to devour
thou shalt not bow

“The great leveler” by Sofia Kioroglou
No shock, no engulfment…
Just the natural corollary to physical birth.
Death is standing on your porch screaming out
and beckoning you to come downstairs.

Unbudgeable and unbribeable.
The eternal, unbiased judge
is holding the Book of Life,
Your name no longer written in it.

The great leveller not paid for favors
is riding triumphantly his chariot
The dead, the great and small
now standing before the Throne.
