“The Penumbral eclipse of my heart “up and running on the Outlaw Poetry Network platform

The penumbral eclipse of my heart

Moving through the outer part
of my soul’s shadow
I catch my umbra taking a bite
out of the only luminous part of the soul

The dark bite grows larger
then receding but never reaching
the total phase of unhappiness
refraction of glass now half-empty

Such dramatic subtlety of disintegration
Feelings that never came to fruition
only a dark shading on my face nobody will see
this imperceptible penumbral eclipse of my heart

  1. Sadly WordPress trashed your lovely comment on my poem “House Cleaning” before i could reply ! So I just want to say thank you for your compliment, and I am glad you related to what I was saying.
