Treading water

I am walking ahead and ahead
and still in the same place.
I am treading water
walking through a morass.
I think I am making progress
but I am stuck when I keep walking.

ABOUT THE POET:

 

Sofia Kioroglou is an award-winning poet, journalist and writer from Greece. Her poems are included in many anthologies and a number of printed books and literary journals that include Poetic Diversity, Galleon Literary Journal , Lunaris Review, Every Writer, Galway Review, Hephaestus Wien, Pengician, Dumas and Demain, InBetweenHangovers, Basil o’ Flaherty, Verse-Virtual, Writink Page, Silver Birch Press, Eastlit Magazine, Halkyon Days, Ashvamegh, Fractal.gr, tovivlio.net and Winamop. Her work “They bite the hand that feeds them” was singled out in the Festival for Poetry this February and her poem ” Tell me how I can forget” won a distinction in the World Competition of Epok.
