Via Dolorosa- Sofia Kioroglou

I see my Lord, the Way, the Truth and the Life
He moveth on wearing a crown of thorns, carrying a cross
I see my Lord crawling on the raggedy way leading to Calvary
the blood from his forehead smarting His eyes.

I am just another bystander witnessing the razor sharp lash
cutting into His flesh and I crave to stretch my arms around Him
I am on the street the Holy Lamb of God has Walked
I am on the Via Dolorosa, In Jerusalem, in the Holy Land.

I have shivers after reading this and through your words I can place myself on that street. I can’t imagine how terrible it was for Him and for His loved ones to witness this brutality, even though it had to be. Beautifully written, Sofia.

      2. I don’t have much of a choice my friend. The whole place pulls you like a magnet. I could not make it for Easter so I am visiting it this month. I have come to appreciate you a lot and I count you among my friends too. You are like the salt of the earth Thomas. Very special.Hang in there!

I imagine it does. I look forward to hearing all about your trip. Aww, i have come to appreciate you as well. It makes me smile you feel the same way and I love the phrase “salt of the Earth” as i am born of salt water and know it runs through my veins 🙂 I am well, my friend – I’ve just been busy. However, the end of busy days is in sight and soon I will be able to spend more time here. Have a glorious day 🙂
